Four-star luxury boutique aparthotel in the historic centre of Barcelona.

Located in the heart of Barcelona's Gothic Quarter, with all the city's major tourist and cultural attractions within easy reach, Aparthotel Arai is located in one of Barcelona's most important historical buildings, which dates back to the 18th century. The building's façade retains the original ornamental sgraffito, one of the best preserved of the period, and now forms part of the city's architectural, historical and artistic heritage. Named “Casa dels Quatre Rius” (House of the Four Rivers) for its sgraffito, the mansion housed the headquarters of the Escola Massana y Foment de Les Arts Decoratives, an association formed by artists and industrialists of Barcelona.

Aparthotel Arai has 31 apartments and studio apartments, as well as a gym, sauna and terrace with a swimming pool. The reception is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

The apartments are decorated with natural materials, and some of the building's original features have been conserved. These include the stone walls dating back to the 18th century, the high ceilings and large windows of the lower floors, typical of the architectural style of the era, the vaulted ceilings with wooden beams and the tiled floors with geometric motifs. The magnificent headboards have been adorned with elements from the original building that have been restored, such as the traditional Catalan porcelain and solid wooden shutters.
